Your First Appointment
Your first visit to our office will be approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. This visit will include a comprehensive oral exam, a full series of x-rays, oral cancer screening, periodontal exam, TMJ evaluation, bite evaluation and a consultation regarding your concerns and recommended treatment. After that comprehensive examination, one of our hygienists will then begin your cleaning. However, if your treatment is more complex, it may be necessary to schedule a second appointment to complete.
When scheduling this appointment, please alert the office if you have/had any of the following: medical conditions (such as rheumatic fever, artificial heart valves or joints, heart murmur, mitral valve prolapse, etc.), if you are on blood thinners or similar medications, had recent surgeries or hospitalizations or recent dental x-rays in another office.
Please provide your dental insurance information, if any, to our front desk team so that we may integrate that information into our system prior to your visit with us. If you are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must accompany you to your visit, unless the parent contacts our office in advance.
You will receive a link via email or text to complete your health history electronically. Hit submit once it is completed. If for any reason you are unable to complete these forms electronically, you will be asked to do so in our office but please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment time. Any questions regarding the above information can be directed to our front desk staff at (517) 655-1500.
We are looking forward to seeing you in the office and getting to know you!
